Faith Formation Conference 2008 - O'ahu

"The Word of God in the Life and Mission of the Church”

When: Wednesday, June 25 – Saturday, June 28, 2008

Where: Damien Memorial School (1401 Houghtailing Street, Honolulu)

The Faith Formation Conference is a celebration of our faith and an opportunity to deepen our communion with Christ through the presence, insights, wisdom, and support of our facilitators and each other. Come nurture your spirit and be re-energized! This program supports a major recommendation of our Diocesan Road Map for Pastoral, Program, and Facility Needs 2008-2013 – Faith Formation.

Safe Environment Program

Safe Environment Training available online!

A fee of $10 per person is billed to the parish, school, or diocesan affiliate you identify when registering for the class. An additional fee of $25 per background screening is billed. BEFORE taking the class, please inform your Pastor, Principal, or Program coordinator.

NCEA Assessment for Catholic/Catechesis Religious Education (ACRE)

Follow the "read more" link to place your order for the ACRE assessment instrument. Hawai'i Catholic Schools are required to participate in the assessment each November.

Announcing the new leadership program for associates and coordinators of religious education. Most courses available on-line through the University of Dayton's Virtual Learning for Faith Formation (VLCFF).

Looking for a high-quality online learning experience? Check out the University of Dayton's Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation.

All completed VLCFF courses are counted toward catechist certification requirements.

The Diocese of Honolulu provides a 50% tuition discount, so you pay only $40 per course. Most courses take place over five weeks. Three-week seminars are also available.

All islands: Echoes of Faith catechist certification program

Achieve catechist certification through your local parish! Contact your religious education program leader for information on the use of the Echoes of Faith video assisted series. Using Echoes of Faith, certification classes may be facilitated by qualified members of your own parish community.
